Zachary Truboff


Rabbi Zachary Truboff is the senior rabbi of Oheb Zedek-Cedar Sinai Synagogue in Cleveland, OH. Through his spiritual leadership, he has built a warm and welcoming community that has more than doubled in size since his arrival in Cleveland seven years ago. He has served as the Director of Jewish Life and Culture for the Mandel JCC and is co-founder of the award winning Cleveland Jewish Arts and Culture Lab. He regularly blogs for the Times of Israel and has published articles for the Lehrhaus and EJewishPhilanthropy.

Zach has a BS in Industrial Engineering and Operations Research from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. He studied and taught at Machon Pardes, receiving semikha from HaRav Zalman Nechemia Goldberg. Upon returning to America, he received an additional semikha from Yeshivat Chovevei Torah. He is a recipient of the Rabbi Moshe Sachs Pastoral Counseling Award from YCT and was chosen by the Cleveland Jewish News in 2015 as one of the18 Difference Makers for the Cleveland Jewish community. He lives in Beachwood with his wife, Jennifer, and their four children, Nahum, Elihai, Shaiya, and Orya.
