Rabbi Zachary Truboff is the senior rabbi of Oheb Zedek-Cedar Sinai Synagogue in Cleveland, OH. Through his spiritual leadership and partnership with dedicated lay and congregational members, he has helped build a warm and welcoming community that has more than doubled in size since his arrival in Cleveland three years ago. Rabbi Truboff currently works as an adult educator for the Mandel JCC and has served as their DIrector of Jewish Life and Culture. He is co-founder of the Cleveland Jewish Arts and Culture Lab and has taught in the Torat Tzion Kollel.
Rabbi Truboff is originally from Sharon, MA and attended the University of Massachusetts at Amherst where he received a BS in Industrial Engineering and Operations Research. After college, Rabbi Truboff worked as an engineer before moving to Jerusalem to dedicate himself to full time Torah study. While in Israel, he studied and taught at Machon Pardes and received semikha from HaRav Zalman Nechemia Goldberg. Upon returning, he received an additional semikha from Yeshivat Chovevei Torah and served as a visiting rabbi in congregations in northern New Jersey. He is also a recipient of the Rabbi Moshe Sachs Pastoral Counseling Award from YCT. He lives in Beachwoood with his wife, Jennifer, and their three young sons.
